Access to a Medical Practitioner
Residents may choose to have their own General Practitioner continue
to attend to their needs, or may choose to transfer their care to our
House Doctor; Dr John Sligo.
In event of the resident deciding to retain the services of their own
Medical Practitioner any additional fee their practitioner charges over
and above the charges of the House Practitioner, will be required to be
met by the Resident personally.
The House Medical Practitioner attends every Tuesday and Thursday
afternoon. After hours Practitioners are called in to attend residents out
of usual working hours, in the event of acute illness or emergency. If a
resident or a resident's agent would like the Doctor to attend a resident,
a request is welcomed at any time to the Senior Nurse on duty. The Senior
Nurse is in charge of becoming aware of any possible adverse health signs
or symptoms in a resident and will request the Doctor attend to them.
