Each bedroom comes with a television and telephone outlet, and has its own ensuite with shower and
toilet. The rooms are fitted with a radiant ceiling heater with individual
thermostatic control; while an underfloor heating system provides
comfortable warmth throughout the home. Each bedroom and ensuite is
equipped with a Nurse Call bell. |

Our aim is to provide a friendly, warm, homely environment
ensuring individual freedom and security. An environment in which each
person can identify his or her own space, where they can seek privacy and
welcome friends and family in comfort. We view healthcare with a holistic approach in caring for the individuals unique and often fluctuating needs. The residents physical, social and emotional well-being is catered for by the developed individualised Care Plans. These are developed in consultation with the resident, his or her family, our medical and nursing staff and other professionals. We aim to prevent illness and promote healing when illness occurs, while maintaining individual integrity, dignity and independence. This is an ongoing process and with regularly scheduled progress consultations with the resident and their families, we foster a collaborative approach in care, in which a well developed carer - resident relationship is of primary importance. The participation of residents in the Activities Programme is of great importance in promoting their socialisation, mental and physical stimulation and encouraging a general sense of vitality. Communication is encouraged through the increased stimulation in outside activities and a supportive atmosphere is developed increasing residents confidence and independence. |
