All staff are required to do a period of orientation and induction training prior to commencing work. All staff are then required to attend ongoing In-Service Education sessions, which includes studying and completing the "Aged Care Education" (A.C.E) Training programme for Rest Home Caregivers.

All staff undertake their work with patience, sensitivity and understanding which is vital in enabling the dependent elderly to retain their dignity while at the same time feeling safe, secure and content.
SECURITY
The grounds are accessible only through the security gates from Alpine View Lane. To gain access through the main gates, press the white button under the numbers on the panel and the gates will automatically open.



 
RELIGIOUS & CULTURAL BELIEFS
Alpine View will ensure that the specific needs of all cultural and religious groups will be discussed and made familiar to all staff after consultation with the resident and their families. We will ensure that we are flexible, accessible and responsive to the different needs of individuals and the integrity of each residents culture and religion are acknowledged, respected and maintained.
 
SERVICES
One Catholic Communion Service. One Ecumenical Service held at Alpine View monthly. Family and friends are welcome to attend these services.
 
RECUPERATIVE CARE

An additional service at Alpine View is recuperative care for people recovering from illness or accidents.

People in that situation are offered the same full 24 hour nursing care as the permanent residents and the benefits of all the other facilities and services of the home.

The proximity to Burwood Hospital makes Alpine View the ideal facility for recuperative care providing an interim step between hospital and home
